Excellent box, gr8 price this thing is awesome!! don't let it's light weight fool you. It's sturdy and water tight. Not that much wind noise to speak of on the highway, but life is so much better with it I wish I didn't wait so long. My advise to anyone contemplating this box/purchace....do it. You will not regret the choice, plenty of room to store anything and above all, you won't have projectiles (skiis, boots etc.) launched thru your vehicle in case of an incident on the road. End result awesome box love it.

We have a 2002 Honda Odyssey, 3 snowboards and two sets of skis. The Thule web site selector suggested this as one appropriate model and Amazon had the best price we could find. This box fits great on our roof rack with dealer-installed cross bars and our boards and skis fit easily. With a little fussing we were able to set the mounting system so the box does not interfere with the rear hatch. The "Quick Grip" mounting system is a good development and the box mounts on our vehicle in minutes with no tools required. Mileage on the vehicle is about the same with or without the cargo box and I don't notice any extra noise with it in place. The Thule does exactly what we wanted it too, all the features are as described and the price we got was excellent.

We go on long trips to the beach. Lots of kids means lots of luggage. The Thule 605 Ascent 1700 fit nicely on my Escalade. Measure your car before ordering, as it is quite long. I purchased the biggest version, as we never have enough room. The Thule has lots of room and was easy to put on and off the car. My I still have not tried it in rain, but it appears to be watertight. I really like the clamps that attach to the crossbars on my luggage rack. They are padded with rubber. A knob inside the luggage carrier turns and causes the clamp to encircle the crossbars. The clamps are adjustable: they can be slid back to accomodate a larger rack.
Overall, I love my new Thule!
